Step by Step Process to Make Chicken Dum Biryani Recipe

Ingredients Required For Chicken Biryani
• Chicken -1kg
• Curd – 1 cup
• Jeera – 2tsp
• Sabut garam masala -1tsp
• Tej patta -4 pieces
• Turmeric powder – 2tsp
• Chilli powder – 2tsp
• Coriander powder- 3tsp
• Onions – 4pieces (thinly sliced)
• Basmati rice -500gms
• Salt to taste
• Ghee – 2tsp
• Saffron – 1/2tsp (soak it in ½ cup milk)
• Biryani masala – 3tsp
• Fresh finely chopped coriander leaves
• Green chili -3/4 pieces
Method of preparation of Chicken Dum Biryani
To prepare this mouth-watering dish, first of all you have to Marinate chicken with curd and all spices except biryani masala and keep it in fridge for half an hour.
Soak basmati rice in water for half an hour. Boil rice till half cooked. And place it separately. Heat a pan and add some oil. Then, add some sliced onions and fry it till golden brown. Put it separately.
Add ghee to the handi/pan put jeera and sabut garam masala also tej patta to it. Stir it then add sliced onions. Fry it till it is half cooked then add salt and marinated chicken to it. Cook it till chicken get cooked. Add boiled rice and biryani masala to it. Mix well. Then add fried onions and gently spread saffron (which is soaked in milk) and green chilli and chopped coriander leaves. Cover it and cook for 5min.
Serve hot chicken dum biryani with red chutney and raita.
